A guide for your first conversation

Plan your home project with clarity.

Use these questions to outline what matters for your family or investment project before your free consultation. You do not need every answer to begin the conversation.

A project scope and quote must be confirmed for the specific location and selected configuration. Ask which items are included, excluded, or still need local review.

  1. 01

    Start with the intended use

    • Who will use the home, and what should it make possible for them?
    • Are you planning a family home, space for relatives, an ADU, a home office or gym, a rental, or another use?
    • What rooms, privacy needs, or day-to-day routines should guide the plan?
  2. 02

    Describe the project location

    • Where is the site, and who can help coordinate decisions there?
    • Can you share an address or map location, photos, and any information you have about the property?
    • Who will be the local point of contact while you are in the United States?
  3. 03

Check what is known about the site

    • Is the land selected, and has a local professional reviewed its dimensions, access, slope, drainage, or ground conditions?
    • What site preparation, foundation, access, or utility work might need to be assessed?
    • Which site details still need to be measured or verified before choosing a configuration?
  4. 04

    Choose a model and configuration

    • Which model or layout are you considering, and what needs to fit your use?
    • Which room arrangement, finishes, furnishings, appliances, or solar options should be discussed?
    • Which details are part of the selected configuration, and which would be optional or customized?
  5. 05

Clarify the quote line by line

    • Which items would the project quote include, and which would it exclude or list as allowances?
    • Ask how the quote treats the home, furnishings and equipment, site work, foundation, utility connections, transport and handling, any applicable import or customs charges or taxes, unloading, and installation.
    • Who supplies, arranges, and pays for each item, and what assumptions could change the scope or quote?
  6. 06

    Agree on logistics and responsibilities

    • Who coordinates each handoff from production through transport, delivery, and installation?
    • Who is responsible for site access, unloading equipment, local trades, utility connections, and any work before or after installation?
    • What documents, site conditions, and decisions need to be ready at each step, and who will confirm them?
  7. 07

Set timeline assumptions and local reviews

    • What stages make up this project timeline, when does the schedule begin, and what milestones does it cover?
    • Which selections, site work, approvals, transport arrangements, or other dependencies could affect the dates?
    • What should local architects, engineers, and relevant authorities verify about land use, design, structure, site conditions, utilities, approvals, access, and import or delivery requirements for this specific project?

Bring the details you have.

A map pin, site photos, a preferred model, a rough room list, and questions from local professionals can all help focus the conversation.
